Heart Words

Lord, bind my heart to you like a fetter
For I know with all of my being that You are better
Your ways higher. My heart's desire.
Teach me that the nations may know Your name.
Convict this heart of starving for Christian fame.
For God, You are enough.
I'm reminded of this when the storms of life are rough.
You are far above
Yet still care to wrap my heart in abounding love.
My mind cannot fathom this kind of perfection.
Rid my being of this sin infection.
Even as my sins make the cross redder,
I remember Lord that You are always better.
